Rum Balls

Rum Balls

Mmmm, there are no real holidays without tasty rum balls. To prepare the rum balls you don’t need the oven; it will be enough if you have refrigerator and a food processor – and even that is only necessary if you don’t want to crush the biscuits with your hands. Rum balls are delicious, quick and easy dessert!

rum balls

  • 250 g butter biscuits
  • 100 g of powdered sugar
  • 100 g of coconut flour
  • 80g cocoa powder
  • 200g softened butter
  • 4 tablespoons of rum
  • extra coconut flour for topping

  1. Crush the biscuits, then using the food processor, grind them into crumbs. Biscuit crumbs pour into a bowl. Add the cubed butter, sugar, coconut, cocoa and rum. From all that, mix into a dough and store in a refrigerator for half an hour.
  2. From cooled dough, form little balls  with hands (the ingredients are for around 50 balls), roll them in coconut flour, spread on a serving platter and serve.

Since in the rum balls there are not perishable ingredients, they can be kept in a refrigerator for a long time.

If the dough is too dry, add a few tablespoons of milk.

If you want, you can add into the dough for rum balls, ground nuts (hazelnuts, almonds, walnuts).

Instead of coconut flour for topping, you can use chocolate sprinkles.
